Lisa Barkley appointed to TRLA Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of the San Antonio Bar Association has reappointed Lisa Barkley to a new two-year term in 2016 as the Bar’s representative to the Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid, Inc. Board of Directors.

Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid, or TRLA, is a non - profit organization that provides free legal services to qualified citizens in 68 counties in Southwest Texas, along with farm workers throughout Texas and six other southern states.TRLA attorneys specialize in over thirty different practice areas, including colonias, civil rights, environmental justice, labor and employment, public benefits, foreclosure, border issues, and human trafficking.It also operates public defender programs in several counties in Southwest Texas.TRLA is the largest provider of legal services in Texas, and the third largest in the nation.
